DRIVING IN CIRCLES

It's only sixty miles to space, but I somehow drove seventy-eight miles today. In fact, my car, which is a (demographically appropriate -- think what you will) 1995 Saturn SL1, has been driven no less than ninety thousand miles -- or more than three and a half times the distance around the Earth at its widest point. Or more than a third of the way to the moon.

Is it any wonder that I feel like I've been driving in circles?
